    Martin Slough Nature Trail
The Martin Sough rests in the valley between the Sierra Nevada in the west and the Pinenut Mountain Range in the east. Wetland ponds were created at Gilman Avenue to decrease the flow of the slough, and to provide a natural environment for many species of wildlife. The trail provides many opportunities to observe the ecosystems within the slough year round. Access: Access to the Martin Slough is accessible by Highway 395 onto Gilman Road. The trail head is located at the entrance to Chichester Estates.
